Even as a sophomore, he was good enough to beat Alabama. Clemson is specifically the type of team that's built to beat Bama. Their defense is strong enough to keep them in the game. Their offense is spread-oriented with a great QB and a receiver or two who are match-up nightmares. It's very hard otherwise to beat Bama.

If they had played 10 times over the last two years, I think Clemson would've won 5 of them.
